The highly anticipated conclusion to the “emotional, steamy, and dangerous” USA Today bestselling White Monarch series.

I’ve become a queen to the forsaken, a leader to thieves, and the wife of a man who instills fear in all who cross his path. He was the husband I didn’t want. Now, I can’t fathom life without my king.

I should’ve been ready for anything. Like the caterpillar that feeds on poison during metamorphosis, I was raised in the dangerous world of cartel crime. But nothing could’ve prepared me for Cristiano de la Rosa, his brother’s poison, or the Calavera cartel.

This is still a story about a love strong enough to topple households, unite enemies, and divide brothers. Resilient enough to bring down those who would try to destroy it . . . and selfless enough to make the ultimate sacrifice.

But I was warned, and so were you. Death’s day always comes. This time, it will find what was once a caterpillar is now a butterfly—and hell hath no fury like the White Monarch.

This review is harder to write without giving anything away, so I’ll keep it short and sweet. What a ride that was. Jessica sure knows how to jerk my emotions around. I loved how Natalia transformed throughout the series, she was frustrating sometimes but I really enjoyed her growth. Cristiano remains the dreamy Alpha I was salivating over in books 1&2. And their fire and chemistry only grew in this book. I did see certain things coming but regardless I truly enjoyed this book. I always enjoy Jessica’s writing style, this was very entertaining and I really liked diving into the cartel world she’s built.

“I wouldn’t be allowed in Heaven, but I swear on all that’s holy—I’d rattle the gates until they let me have you.” I CANNOT BELIEVE IT’S OVER! Once again, Jessica Hawkins held me captivated for almost an entire year with a series. Everything about this world of the cartel was intriguing, and she brought it to life so vividly. And the characters—I was hopelessly twisted up in them from the start. Cristiano—be still my heart—he is EVERYTHING! His love and protectiveness of Natalia was unwavering. Endless. With Natalia I’m happy to say, she grew on me. I absolutely LOVED her in Violent Triumphs! She stepped up, listened to her heart, and became the queen I’d hoped she would. Her attitude, sass, and strength kicked this part of their story up a notch. The full-out passion and action in this installment kept me glued to the pages. You could FEEL the emotions that come with surrendering to desire, love, and the discovery of betrayal. I’m so incredibly happy with how the White Monarch series ended, but also sad that it ended at all. It’s become one of my absolute favorites ever! And Cristiano de la Rosa now sits in a throne, like the king he is, as my TOP FAVORITE literary hero.
  • Epic Conclusion to the White Monarch Series!

I love how Jessica Hawkins brought Natalia's metamorphosis that had been developing to a full butterfly effect! Natalia had thought her future was planned out for her previously but the interconnected events of the past brought about a future she never expected. I loved the evolution that Cristiano and Natalia's relationship took. It was not rushed and led them to a life they had not planned. In essence, the power to change their world. My metaphorical use of the butterfly effect is not to say that they went from a calm cartel life to chaos but rather the opposite. Jessica Hawkins is undeniably the Queen of Angst! In this story her depiction of certain events had my heart in my stomach fluttering at record speed! I will not give any spoilers as I strongly recommend you read this trilogy to experience the gamut of emotions and feel the effects of the White Monarch!

Best ending to a trilogy in recent memory! I’m so sad it’s over! Jessica is the master of the slow burn and I was dying for each installment the whole time. One click this series, it’s all complete! Also her other books can’t be missed. Just read them and don’t plan on sleeping or getting anything else done! 💕

Violent Triumphs is an action-packed, evocative, gripping, heart-wrenching, tragic, beautifully written, and highly original piece of work. I am utterly obsessed with this series and there's never been another book I've been more impatient to read than I was this one. (For the record--it was worth the wait.) The White Monarch is an three-part series about the daughter of one of the most powerful cartel kingpins in all of Mexico. The story hasn't already been done a million times--which makes it interesting, and powerful, and suspenseful, and thrilling. Violent Triumphs is about -- Love and war. Betrayal and sacrifice. Triumph and defeat. Death and rebirth. It's impossible to say much more than this without spoiling the book, so just trust all of the positive reviews and read it. You won’t regret it.

This. How can move on from this? How can I possibly find words to describe this book, beyond climbing the highest mountain and yelling at the top of my lungs, "THIS BOOK IS PERFECTION!" This book. This series. This couple and these characters. They have ingrained themselves in my heart, and they're never coming out. Both Natalia and Cristiano changed over the course of this trilogy. I can't even begin to explain how much I grew to love these two. Natalia's sass. Cristiano's dirty mouth. It was better than I ever could have imagined. This story might have had a slow burn, but every minute of the torture Hawkins put me through was worth it. And just because the burn was slow, doesn't mean the book was. I felt like I needed a couple of good, sturdy safety bars to hold onto at times, to secure me through all the twists and turns as I went careening around the mountain. I loved every minute of this story, and my only wish is that there was more. I'm not ready to let Cristiano and his love go.
